As previously reported, UMTailgater Bill “Bloomfield” Hasler won his way into the Borgata Poker Classic a couple of weeks ago, and I’m happy to say that he did not disappoint. Hasler finished 50th, which is “in the money,” lasting through over 30 hours of tournament poker play, and outlasting 521 other players, including such poker icons as Mike Matusow, Phil Ivey, Andrew Black, Eric Siedel, and current World Series champion Jamie Gold. He’s even got a great story about bluffing out Mr. Gold, starting the end of the champion’s run in the tournament.
Bill took in just under $14,000, not bad for just a $500 satellite investment. Speaking to Mr. Hasler on his drive back to New York City from Atlantic City, it is clear that this is not the end of his career in poker, but the beginning.
So congrats to Bill, and good luck in the next one.

Bloomfield looks like a “Knights of Prosperity” gang member who just took some money from a rich poker player. Keep up the good work, I checked the chip count but couldn’t find his progress……maybe next time.
