fab five.jpgYes its true Steve Fisher is back on top of the World! This time winning a national championship at the Winter X games. The Snowboard Super Pipe was supposed to be won by Shaun White, but Steve Fisher pulled off the upset! No not the “Fish” who inspired T. Mills and Glen Rice run the table in ‘89. No not the “Fish” who rounded up the best recruiting class in college basketball history. But hey they both have National Championships, and we really weren’t in the mood to talk about this year’s crappy uncle tommy squad. Hey it won’t be long until the Fab Five banners are back. Snap on Continue Reading for more from around campus and maybe and other nonsense.

daugherty1.jpgSpeaking of Fab Five, Welcome home C.Webb, did anyone see that behind the back pass he made to Tay Tay last night from the top of the key? Nice Kid.

Around Campus:

  • Probably my favorite website, Deadspin.com, shows this absolutely hillarious prank from some Dartmouth students called “Drinking Time”. Tootie, didn’t your brother go to Dartmouth? R U Serious!
  • Theme Change? Maybe our “Urban” tailgate isn’t such a good idea after all. Look whats happening at Clemson when they tried to have some intercity fun. Well believe it or not, not everyone enjoyed it. (We must admit maybe the “padded booties” was a bit much, nevertheless unique) Whole story here.

From Ace of Spades

Ranneice McDonald, another Clemson student, said she saw nothing funny about it.

“People painted themselves black. Put fake butts inside their pants to signify the big booty black-girl thing. Fake gold teeth in their mouths caps and jerseys — depicted us as wearing such things as that are disgusting to me. It’s disgusting. It makes me sick to my stomach,” McDonald said.

  • “Nascar Dads” might be in for a surprise when they tune in to the pre Daytona 500 hype. Surely you remember North Carolina standout and Cleveland Cavalier superstar Brad Daugherty. But I bet you didn’t know why he wore #43. Quite interestingly enough the seven footer wore it because of his affinity for the Nascar. The five time all-star probably couldn’t come close to fitting in one of the cars, but his love for “The King” inspired his Jersey selection. This is no joke, “Daugherty” is a new co-host on Nascar Live which will be a daily show on ESPN starting next week.
