thomasisiah1.jpgWhat’s the most important piece to a successful hoop team? Well it’s someone that has a pretty fucked up personal life that is also the man handlin the rock. Has anyone noticed the imperativeness of having a superstar at the Point Guard Position again this year in the NBA Playoffs? It seems to be overlooked this spring but take a look at the “elite 8” of the NBA is you will. I consider the top five point guards to be:

1. Stevie Nash (PHX) (even though he got knocked out by BS Bob)

2. Jason Kidd (NJN) (even though he got beat up by his wife)

3. Tony Parker (SA) (even though I am sick of his damn over-make-uped girlfriend)

4. Baron Davis (GS) (even though his fucking beard is ridiculous)

5. Chauncey Billups (DET) (even though he slightly resembles an equine)

All 5 led their respective teams to the conference semis. Of the three teams remaining, Chicago and Utah have possibly two of the best up and comers at the PG spot in Hinrich and D. Williams. The lone team that is missing in Cleveland and they have the best player in the league. So no matter how big and athletic your squad may be don’t underestimate the centrifuge that is the Point Guard. (Even if their lives are far from perfect, they get it done on the court)
