Tomorrow marks 100 days until kickoff in Seattle...maybe.

September 19, 1992: The OGs of the tailgate pose before the 1992 home opening win against Oklahoma State 35-3. As a side note, all the pictures taken by Pammy are always 10X better than the ones taken by Dennis. Mike Gundy, just 3 years removed from being the quarterback, was the quarterbacks coach at age 25. He would become the head coach in 2005, and in 2007 he turned 40. Game recap and pictures from 1992 Oklahoma State are here.

Way Back When-sday Filled in for Wheatley

September 3, 1994: Look at these beautiful young folks. John Dogan clearly running the show. Godfather and Pammy tending to family. Captain Michigan with an uncomfortable mustache and a drink in hand. And young love blossoming with those Kelke kids. These were the days. Wheatley had a separated shoulder, but straight ahead Ed Davis and Tim Biakabutuka combined for 178 yards to assist quarterback Todd Collins in defeating upstart Big East foe Boston College 34-26.

This and the rest of the pictures from 26(!) years ago are here on the game page.

Way Back When-sday has an Origin Story

September 12, 1992: Some stumbling drunk college kids bumped into an old man and his friends in South Bend before Michigan played Notre Dame to a 17-17 tie. They agreed to meet up before the next home game. A few years later, the guy in yellow married my sister. The rest, as they say, is history.
