October 15, 1994: 28 (!) long years ago, Captain, Godfather, and Stephy posed before Michigan faced new Big Ten addition Penn State for just the second time ever and the first time in the Big House. Full game page lives here.
A late arriving crowd missed another perfectly scripted Michigan opening drive, followed by a first half of sloppiness and mediocrity. Indiana fans were treated to a philanthropic dose of hope. And then adjustments were made and dominance ensued, to the tune of Indiana gaining 29 total yards in the second half and a postgame firing of their O-Line coach. Even at the worst of times, the outcome never really felt in doubt, and what was Michigan’s worst performance of the season so far ended in a 31-10 drubbing of the Hoosiers. Michigan starts the season at 6-0 in back to back years for the first time since 1976-77.
