September 4, 2010: The UMTailgate.com crew had their first tailgate (a Luau Theme) in their new space in “The Cove” at Pioneer High. A star-studded event that included a Kraft sponsorship and a special appearance by Jarrett Irons. Crazy times. Michigan would go on to beat UCONN 30-10 behind nearly 400 all-purpose years from Denard Robinson. The rest of the pics and details of the day are here.
Michigan takes on Purdue in hoops tomorrow at Crisler so we throw it back to November 13, 2010 when we touched bellies for luck before Michigan’s 27-16 victory over the Boilermakers. Some interesting stats in this one: Will Hagerup, Tate Fortier, and Denard Robinson all PUNTED in this game as pooching (since outlawed by, um, math and statistics) was a standard practice back in the 2010’s. I do recall we ate two caterers trays of Chick-fil-a minis at the tailgate, and by we I mean “I”. September 4, 2010: Hard to believe, but it’s been 12 years since we pulled up stakes at Golf and Outing and arrived at our new home at The Cove at Pioneer. We rode the wave of a Kraft sponsorship and an appearance by Michigan legend Jarrett Irons before the Wolverines dispatched the UCONN Huskies 30-10. Full game page is here.
November 6, 2010: A couple of hard hitting guys up front, turkeys being cooked two ways in the back (going for three ways this year). Michigan defeats Illinois 67-65 in 3OT.
